Used 2003 Porsche Boxster

A local Bay Area native 986 5-spd with 89k miles, it's a One-Owner, late production example that's overall been very well cared for and garaged.

Sold new at Porsche Stevens Creek in Santa Clara, the vehicle has been a Bay Area Car since initial delivery. The Guards Red paint shows well with minimal blemishes and no evidence of age or environmental decay, and the grey leather interior reflects the same care with no abnormal wear, sun damage, etc. The carpets, console, dash, door cards and switchgear are all in impeccable condition with no sign of harsh weather or UV exposure. The headlamp assemblies and lenses show no discoloration and hazing and are free of the typical 986 heat related internal deformations.

The undercarriage and engine casings show no sign of winter weather exposure or cold climate driving, and all bushings and rubber look to have remained in the temperate coastal environment.

Mechanically the car is solid, and it's recently received a major service as well as new brake liners and tires on all four corners. All-in-all, this is a great Boxster with no deferred maintenance and is up to date on the most crucial maintenance items. In terms of drive-ability, the vehicle acts the part. Steering feel is great on center with no darting or pulling side-to-side. The clutch engages smoothly with no sign of past overheating or abuse, and the gearbox shifts smoothly and deliberately with no evidence of synchro wear. At both cold and warm startup, the exhaust is smoke-free.

There are certainly, cheaper 986 Boxsters on the market, but as they say, "Choose a Porsche like you'd choose a Cardiologist; NEVER go with the cheapest one."
